Tea House

A tea house is a place to go and enjoy having some tea in the company of friends. There is really very little difference between these and the cafes that we are all so familiar with. The main difference is that a tea house focuses on tea instead of coffee.

Tea is regularly enjoyed all over the world, and many countries and cultures have tea houses. In most places where you find them they are a place for friends to gather and relax. Some tea houses, such as some in Japan, are very exclusive places for certain clients.

For some wealthy people, having their own tea house is a big thing. It is a private retreat for them and their friends where they can enjoy tea and each other’s company. Many influential people throughout history have had their own place for tea. Even some hotels pride themselves on having tea rooms that have been in use for many decades.
